Motorcycle Insurance

Aditional information

With motorcycle insurance you have to know your basics, know what to expect, and make sure that you understand the details of any insurance package you are purchasing. Although no one wants to get in an accident, they happen to the best of us, and the whole experience can be a lot less painful if you’ve got a good insurance plan to back you up.

Coverage Options:

Accessory Coverage

Accessory coverage is for those items which are not included as standard by the manufacturer of the motorcycle and were added onto the motorcycle. These can include but are not limited to: fairings, windshield, luggage rack, sissy bar, safety guards, highway pegs, crash/roll bar, custom seat, chrome light bars, radios and CBs.

Accessory packages ranging from $500 to $10,000 are available. The accessory coverage cannot be more than 50% of the motorcycle's current market value. In cases where the motorcycle is customized beyond that, agreed value coverage may be an option.

This coverage provides protection on your behalf to someone to whom you become legally liable due to a motorcycle accident which causes injury, sickness or death.

Comprehensive

This coverage provides protection to your motorcycle for damage which occurs as a result of loss other than collision. This would include occurrences such as fire, theft, vandalism or hitting a deer. Deductible options: $250, $500 or $1000.

Medical Payments

This coverage provides excess medical payments coverage (after any other medical coverage) for any operator or passenger, regardless of fault, subject to the coverage limit and deductible.

Passenger Liability

This coverage provides protection to a passenger who is not an insured if you become legally liable to the passenger due to an accident.

Property Damage Liability
